An Emotional Song about Losing Family.

After losing my brother, I spent a lot of time writing. Poetry became one of the only ways I knew how to process everything I was feeling. In that way, it was kind of my music before this music.
At the time, I was living in Simi Valley, California, the same town my brother once lived, and the town where other family still lives. And when I started writing what eventually became Simi, I kept coming back to the fact that so many people in this town loved him.
