Almost A Life was written for anyone who has thought there was something there, but timing prevented you from pursuing it.
That’s where this song lives.
In that space between what is and what could’ve been.
Almost can feel so convincing in the moment. So close that it’s hard to let go of. The bridge in this song is short, but was important to me, because not every almost needs to live in bitterness and resentment.
Sometimes you can look back at something that didn’t work, and still recognize that it helped shape you. Things happens for a reason, and sometimes the growth we take away from the Almosts can have as big of an impact on our lives, and be better for us than hanging onto what could never be.
